The mares that have been in estrus for 10 days or more and have ovaries assets are also considered excellent candidates for treatment with progestins.
PROGESTAL is effective in mares that are cycling normally to minimize the need for estrus detection for synchronization of estrus and to allow the scheduling of services. PROGESTAL is also used in the suppression of estrus in mares or mares exposure to career.
Although the drug is contraindicated in pregnant animals, its effectiveness has been demonstrated in the maintenance of pregnancy in ovariectomized mares, and may be beneficial in the treatment of mares that aborted as a result of subtherapeutic levels of progestins normal.
